During my final study year in Belgium I decided purely  by coincidence to make my internship in South Africa. I have never been really attracted by that country in particular but it was the only one in Africa where I was allowed to go. As soon as I landed at Durban airport in January 2019 I literally fell in love with South Africa and had that strange feeling to be back home for the first time! I decided to do everything possible to live and work in my Heart Country! After my 5 months internship at UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve in the KwaZulu Natal and at the Vervet Monkeys Foundation in the Limpopo I came back in Belgium to obtain my degree in Animal Technology at the HeLHa and the University of Namur and already booked for Bushwise Field Guide in the Limpopo. That was it, I decided to realize my child dreams and become a field guide in South Africa! In January 2020 I was back to South Africa and have been graduated from Bushwise in June 2020 despite of the covid situation.  In March 2021 I finally found a placement as part of my field guiding training at GVI Limpopo at Karongwe Nature Reserve where I worked as Field Guide and assistant in research. Finally in July 2021 I joined the Mopaya Safari Lodge in the Balule Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park where I'm currently working as Field Guide!
